1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, the leading international art fair dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and the African diaspora, is returning to Marrakech for its fourth edition in Morocco after a three-year hiatus.

The 2023 Marrakech edition will welcome 20 exhibitors (including eight galleries from the African continent and 12 galleries participating for the first time) and works by over 60 artists working across an array of paintings and sculptures to mixed media and installation.

In February 2018, the fair was successfully launched in Marrakech, allowing 1-54 to broaden its reach and further diversify its portfolio of exhibiting and promoting gallerists and artists connected to Africa. Home to one of the continent’s most dynamic art scenes, Marrakech provides the perfect setting for the fair, building on the city’s creative energy fostered by artists, galleries, and institutions.

From 9 to 12 February at the La Mamounia Hotel (Avenue Bab Jdid, Marrakech 40040, Morocco).
