Foreign Agent presents Nicolas Lambelet Coleman at 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair Marrakech 2023.

Nicolas Lambelet Coleman is a painter based in New York. His work focuses on portraiture, with an emphasis on self-portraiture. More broadly, his work aims to be a subversion of the boundaries that we have constructed around identity and the tribal nature of what it means to be human. This results in a visual investigation of the collision of our internal sense of self with our external physical environment.

Foreign Agent is a contemporary art gallery established in 2019 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The gallery showcases emerging and established contemporary artists and designers from Africa and the diaspora in a uniquely curated environment. Foreign Agent organizes six annual shows and participates in Artsy online exclusives and international art fairs.
