Gallery Soview presents ‘The Flower of My Secret’, the first solo exhibition by Sena Tues, until May 10.

Sena was born in 1986 and raised in some of Accra’s toughest neighbourhoods, Ghana. His passion as an artist is the depiction of life through facial expressions, body and eyes of black identities portraying traditional and modern urban lifestyles. He believes that is where our emotions and humanity lie. Sena describes his art as a blend of abstract, realism and expressionism.

In this series of portraits, Sena invites us to delve into the other side of the mirror, imagine the other side of a personality, and connect with that invisible part we all keep hidden inside us. He excels at the point of exerting a fascination on our minds, from which we cannot detach. This is his strength, playing with seduction and mystery. The exhibition is guest-curated by Floréal Duran, founder of “Les Enfants Terribles – Paris”.

Gallery Soview is a contemporary art gallery situated in Accra, Ghana. The gallery strongly focuses on emerging artists from Africa and is committed to enhancing their visibility both within and beyond the continent.
