1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair returns to New York from 18 to 21 May

From May 18 to May 21, New York will receive 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, welcoming 26 galleries from around the globe and presenting the work of about 80 artists from Africa and its diaspora.

From May 18 to May 21, New York will receive 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, welcoming 26 galleries from around the globe and presenting the work of about 80 artists from Africa and its diaspora.

The 2023 iteration will be held in a grand modern venue located in Manhattanville Factory District in West Harlem. Galerie Number 8, Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery, LatchKey Gallery, THK Gallery, Galerie Atiss Dakar, and AFIKARIS are just some of the galleries exhibiting at the prestigious fair.

1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair promotes a community of diverse perspectives, including evolving interpretations of the diasporic experience. The fair’s name references the fifty-four countries that constitute the African continent.
