The architect in focus for December is Olajumoke Olufunmilola Adenowo (Nigeria, 1968)

Olajumoke Olufunmilola Adenowo is an accomplished architect, entrepreneur, philanthropist, public speaker, radio host, and author.

Adenowo’s academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Architecture at 14 and a Master of Science with distinction. Her passion for architecture stems from her experiences in Paris and Versailles, which influenced her design philosophy.

She has been named “Africa’s Starchitect” by CNN and “the face of Architecture in Nigeria” by The Guardian. Adenowo has also been listed as an inspirational woman in architecture by the Royal Institute of British Architects.

Her architectural firm, AD Consulting, has a client list including multinational corporations and financial institutions.
