Starting tomorrow, the 11th edition of the Investec Cape Town Art Fair, titled ‘Unbound’, is on display until February 18th.
This edition of the art fair has seen remarkable growth, attracting over 25,000 visitors, including 6,500 VIPs, and 106 exhibitors. This event has become a global platform for showcasing Africa’s diverse and vibrant artistic talent, drawing attention to contemporary artists who interpret the new theme, ‘Unbound’, through their work. The concept of ‘Unbound’ symbolizes limitless freedom and the capacity of art to emancipate thoughts and challenge conventions. This iteration of the fair celebrates the unbridled creativity and infinite possibilities within the art world, aiming to showcase works that provoke the imagination and transcend conventional narratives and societal norms.
Peta Dixon, Investec’s head of Sponsorships, underscores the fair’s role in connecting African art with the world, emphasizing the experience of freedom and discovery through art.
