The architect in focus for the month of July is Allison Grace Williams (Cleveland, United States of America)
Allison Grace Williams is an architect with a global portfolio, having developed numerous civic, cultural, and research facilities at SOM, Perkins+Will, and AECOM. Her award-winning structures integrate culture, technology, and environmental sensitivity, reflecting local values and traditions.
Williams’ projects prioritize sustainability, inclusivity, equity, and social justice, embracing innovation, risk, and ethical considerations.
In 2017, she founded AGWms_studio, a team leader that uses innovative ideas and design thinking for strategic problem-solving. Her clientele includes corporations, institutions, and design professionals, helping them define, prioritize, and synthesize issues to create impactful, synergistic design solutions.
Williams is an adjunct lecturer at Stanford University and actively participates in the design community through keynote speeches and academic lectures. She received the Norma Sklarek Award in Architecture from the AIACC in 2018.
