In Spanish the word “mira” has two meanings: intention or directing one’s eye to an object. Hence, MIRA Art Fair aims to direct the eye of its visitors to artworks that have never been seen before, with a concrete focus on the Latin American region. Through about 20 galleries, the pioneering initiative brings visibility to Latin American artists in the city of Paris. The Maison de l’Amérique Latine will host the first edition of the fair.

Established in 2018, the 193 Gallery is based in Paris and Venice, showcasing artworks mainly from the Caribbean, Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. The gallery participates in renowned art fairs as well as various international biennales.
