Ibrahim Bemba Kébé (b. 1996, Mali) proposes a path for rethinking the place of the sacred and the modes of knowledge transmission in postcolonial societies. Navigating between the weight of memory and the urgency of imagining a habitable future, he reaffirms the dignity of creation as an act of deep listening, resistance, and emancipation. Kébé’s work invites a renewed engagement with ancestral wisdoms and spiritual dimensions that have long been marginalised or distorted by colonial narratives. His approach challenges dominant epistemologies, urging a reconnection with the land, language, and ritual as sites of both healing and political transformation. By centring the sacred not as dogma but as a living, evolving presence, he opens space for new forms of solidarity and cultural affirmation. In doing so, Kébé not only honours the resilience of his heritage but also gestures towards futures grounded in mutual care, creative freedom, and a reverence for the invisible threads that bind us.
