Perve Galeria participates in Art Dubai’s 17th edition, hosted in the Bawwaba section, showcasing the works of Mozambican artist Reinata Sadimba, from 1 to 3 March.
The gallery, through Reinata Sadimba, explores themes of healing across personal, societal, and political dimensions, under the curation of Emiliano Valdés. This endeavor seeks to address historical traumas and foster a more empathetic and inclusive future.
Highlighting Reinata Sadimba, an esteemed African artist, Perve Galeria presents her contributions to discussions on gender, multiculturalism, and intergenerational dynamics through her ceramic sculptures. Born in 1945 in Nemu, Mozambique, Sadimba’s work challenges societal norms, demonstrating resilience and determination. Her art acts as a medium for societal and cultural dialogue, embodying personal healing and connecting to the earth and its inhabitants.
At Art Dubai 2024, her solo exhibition presents a comprehensive collection of her works, covering the entirety of her career, including some pieces that are being revealed for the first time.
Perve Galeria, established in Lisbon in 2000, displays modern and contemporary art, promoting artistic, cultural, and technological projects. In 2013, it opened the Freedom House – Mário Cesariny, honoring the surrealist painter’s legacy.
Art Dubai, an annual international art fair in Dubai, UAE, promotes dialogues about Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia (MENASA) art globally. It fosters exploration, nurtures talent, and collaborates with partners to create innovative programs.
