Taking place from 7th – 10th of April 2022, the fair will be hosted at Christies! The Art Fair will showcase 22 international exhibitors, who collectively present more than 50 African artists! This includes state of the art galleries such as Afikaris in Paris, DADA Gallery, La Galerie 38 and many more, displaying artists among the likes of Blessing Ngobeni, Chiderah Bosah, and Lady Skollie. If you’re not a jet setter and can’t make it over there, then you’ll be pleased to hear that 1-54 are collaborating with Artsy to make a virtual viewing room, enabling guests and viewers to interact with a range of the galleries and artists. If you wanted, you could even purchase some of the highly demanded artwork on display at 1-54! Although, you will have to move quick; at the Somerset House edition of the fair in October, ArtNet reported that there was a ‘heated demand’ for the artworks on display, leading to an unprecedented number of sales!
