The fourth edition of Africa Foto Fair is taking place in Grand Bassam and Abidjan, bringing together photographers from more than thirty countries in a wide ranging celebration of contemporary image making. Founded by Aida Muluneh following her experience of the limited infrastructure available to emerging photographers in Ethiopia, the fair continues her long standing commitment to creating opportunities for visual artists across the continent.

Launched in 2022 as an online platform, Africa Foto Fair extends the spirit of the Addis Foto Fest by offering a space without borders where artists, professionals and audiences can connect. Alongside presenting new photographic work, the platform places a strong emphasis on education, offering resources that support photographers in developing their practice and reaching an international market. It also serves as an online gallery, enabling audiences to acquire prints produced by Africa Print House in Abidjan.

This year’s edition continues to foster dialogue, access and visibility, underscoring the vital role of photography in shaping cultural narratives across Africa and beyond.
