Perve Galeria is excited to confirm its participation in VOLTA Basel 2025, making this its second appearance at one of the most important international contemporary art fairs on the Art Basel parallel circuit. From June 18th to June 22nd, you can visit us at booth A07 at the Messeplatz, in Basel, Switzerland, where works by Renée Gagnon (b. 1942, Canada/Portugal), Reinata Sadimba (b. 1945, Mozambique) and Marya Al Qassimi (b. 1993, United Arab Emirates) will be on display. Their diverse practices are complemented by the inclusion of special guest artist Tor Seidel (Germany).

At VOLTA Basel 2025, one of the leading international contemporary art fairs on the parallel circuit to Art Basel, Perve Galeria marks its second participation with a curatorial proposal focused on resilience, cultural memory, and artistic freedom.

At booth A07, the gallery presents a transcontinental dialogue through the work of three women artists from different backgrounds: Renée Gagnon (b. 1942, Canada/Portugal), Reinata Sadimba (b. 1945, Mozambique), and Marya Al Qassimi (b. 1993, UAE). Their diverse practices are complemented by the inclusion of a special guest artist, Tor Seidel (Germany).

Renée Gagnon explores post-colonial memory and urban transformation through her exploration of the Musseques in Luanda, Angola, through a fusion of photography and painting. Reinata, a leading figure in African and Mozambican ceramics, redefines identity and tradition through powerful sculptural forms. Marya Al Qassimi blends surrealism with Middle Eastern references in paintings driven by psychic automatism and subconscious exploration. Tor Seidel, as a special guest, contributes a multidisciplinary body of work encompassing photography, film, and writing.

Perve Galeria’s presence reaffirms its commitment to inclusive, diverse, and critically engaged artistic practices.
